Our Mission

PAWS (Proactive Animal Welfare Society) is a 501(c)(3) charity established in 2022 to raise funds to support our local shelter and the animals of Benton County. As a charitable organization, we have been able to apply for and receive grants, provide free immunizations to the public, offer discounts for spay and neuter procedures, and initiate a TNR program to help spay and neuter feral and community cats. With your membership, you help continue these good works and have a voice in how our organization moves forward.

Community Foundation of West Tennessee

We are honored to recognize the Community Foundation of West Tennessee for their generous support of our mission. With a grant of $6,000, they have provided crucial funding to expand our Spay and Neuter Services, directly improving the health and well-being of animals across Benton County.

For nearly 40 years, the Community Foundation has been a driving force behind meaningful change in rural West Tennessee. Through their focus on philanthropy in the areas of healthcare, education, the arts, and more, they have helped create stronger, healthier communities—one initiative at a time.

Their partnership enables us to better support pet owners in Benton County with the expenses associated with neutering and spaying their pets. Consequently, this helps us progress towards our goal of reducing the population of unwanted cats and dogs in Benton County.

We’re proud to have their support, and even prouder to share in the vision of a better future for people and animals alike.

Thank you, Community Foundation of West Tennessee, for being a catalyst for change.
