Our Mission

PAWS (Proactive Animal Welfare Society) is a 501(c)(3) charity established in 2022 to raise funds to support our local shelter and the animals of Benton County. As a charitable organization, we have been able to apply for and receive grants, provide free immunizations to the public, offer discounts for spay and neuter procedures, and initiate a TNR program to help spay and neuter feral and community cats. With your membership, you help continue these good works and have a voice in how our organization moves forward.

Our mission turns into action through hands-on programs that directly serve the pets and people of our community. Here are just a few ways we’re making a difference:

 
Vaccination 1
Free Vaccine Clinics
We partner with PetCo Love to provide vaccines for pets in Benton and surrounding counties.
Spay & Neuter Assistance
We help cover costs for local spay and neuter services to reduce overpopulation.
TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return)
Our TNR program aims to reduce the stray cat population in Benton County.

Our programs, except vaccines, are available ONLY to eligible Benton County residents and supported by grants, donations, and community partnerships.

Stop by between 7:30–10:30 am with your healthy pet—no registration needed.

Dogs must be on leashes and cats in carriers.

Casino Night

October 17, 2025

Join us for an evening of fun and fundraising at Barktoberfest Casino Night from 6–9 PM at The Venue on the Square.

Enjoy Vegas-style gambling, dinner, drinks, raffles, and a silent auction—all to benefit PAWS of Benton County and Second Harvest Food Bank.
