Our Mission

PAWS (Proactive Animal Welfare Society) is a 501(c)(3) charity established in 2022 to raise funds to support our local shelter and the animals of Benton County. As a charitable organization, we have been able to apply for and receive grants, provide free immunizations to the public, offer discounts for spay and neuter procedures, and initiate a TNR program to help spay and neuter feral and community cats. With your membership, you help continue these good works and have a voice in how our organization moves forward.

How We Help

Our mission turns into action through hands-on programs that directly serve the pets and people of our community. Here are just a few ways we’re making a difference:

Free Vaccine Clinics

We partner with PetCo Love to provide vaccines for pets in Benton and surrounding counties.

Spay & Neuter Assistance

We help cover costs for local spay and neuter services to reduce overpopulation.

TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return)

Our TNR program aims to reduce the stray cat population in Benton County.

Our programs, except vaccines, are available ONLY to eligible Benton County residents and supported by grants, donations, and community partnerships.

Membership Meeting

Feb 7th, 2026 | 1pm

Due to some recent resignations from the board, PAWS is looking for dedicated pet lovers to become board members!

As a board member you will attend one meeting a month, assist with two fundraisers a year, and help determine how best to help the dogs and cats of Benton County.

Meeting is at Daymaker Cafe on the Court Square in Camden. This is your chance to learn more about what we do!

Symbolically Neuter your EX to heal your broken heart just in time for Valentine's Day!

How it works?
Individuals who make donations of $25 or more on our site will get a trap, neuter or return cat in the community named after their EX.

Follow PAWS on Facebook to see your EX's post of shame along with a satire "Trauma" they caused you description.
