About PAWS of Benton Co TN
Proactive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) of Benton County, Tennessee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2022 to support the animals of our community and the Benton County Animal Shelter (BCAS). What began as one woman’s response to the urgent needs of stray and shelter animals has grown into a dedicated group of volunteers, community advocates, and pet lovers committed to making a lasting difference.
We believe that every animal deserves a chance at a healthy and loving life. Through our volunteer-powered initiatives, we provide direct assistance such as free vaccination clinics, low-cost spay & neuter, and TNR programs.
As a full-transparency organization, we proudly rely on donations, grants, fundraising and memberships to keep our mission alive. Each dollar given, each hour volunteered, and each voice raised helps us protect the animals who can’t speak for themselves.
BCAS Support
Through fundraising and grants we have been able to provide a wide range of assistance based on need. We've been able to save many of the animals that would've been put down in the past due to medical conditions. We provide funding for vaccinations to prevent spreading of diseases. We have put in dog doors, raised beds, provided clean shady areas outside and so much more. Many of our members are proud volunteers at the BCAS!
Together with our supporters, PAWS is building a more compassionate future for pets and people in Benton County.
